En Guinée, 5 points de suivi ont été installés depuis avril 2017 dans les localités frontalières avec le Mali et le Sénégal dont 3 sont actifs à ce jour. Il s’agit des localités de Kouremalé, Nafadji et Boundoufourdou où l’on observe les mouvements des voyageurs.

The four countries of the Lake Chad Basin (Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Nigeria) are currently affected by a protracted crisis resulting from a complex interaction of factors, including conflict with Non-State Armed Groups, poverty, underdevelopment and a changing climate.

As of February 2019, 174,340 displaced individuals (43,291 Households), including 130,472 IDPs, 41,199 Returnees and 2,669 Third Country Nationals (TCNs) were identified in 185 locations (131 sites and 53 host communities).

While often overlooked, women and girls are important features of migration flows in West and Central Africa. Indeed, the share of female travellers in the region has grown significantly in the past few years.
