Libya — Maritime Update Libyan Coast (1—31 January 2018)

Between 1 January and 31 January 2018, 2,046 individuals were rescued or intercepted and three bodies was retrieved. In total, 2,046 individuals were rescued or intercepted in 2018 and 4,256 arrivals by sea were recorded to Italy through the Central Mediterranean route that year. 215 deaths were recorded along the Central Mediterranean route in 2018.
