In March 2020, a total of 7,648 movements were observed across Ethiopia's five flow monitoring points (FMPs).

Suite à la fermeture des frontières en Ethiopie et aux renforcements des contrôles frontaliers au Yémen, certains des migrants qui transitaient par Djibouti afin d'aller vers la péninsule arabique se sont retrouvés bloqués à Djibouti.

The DTM has identified 117,239 internally displaced persons (IDPs) and 25,754 households in the month of February.

On 5 April 2020 the Government of South Sudan officially declared the first positive COVID-19 case.

Most of the movements observed at Kismayo checkpoints were people entering the town (90%). Almost half arrived by truck. The main reasons for traveling were insecurity (48%) and shortage of food (30%).

79% of the observed movements were entries to Dollow, whereas 21% were exits. An exceptional number of entries was observed in January 2019 with 1,244 people observed entering. The main reasons for travelling were shortage of food (35%), insecurity (27%) and uncomfortable living condition (15%).

During 2019, 215,710 movements were tracked through 5 FMPs in Djibouti. Almost all of these were Ethiopian nationals travelling through Djibouti en route to the Arab Peninsula.

89% of the observed movements were entries to Baidoa, mainly from Bakool and Bay regions. Most of the movements were due to insecurity (41%) and shortage of food (25%). A surge in movements was observed in July, 60% was due to a shortage of food.

This Dashboard provides an analysis of the trends in population mobility observed at four (4) flow monitoring points (FMPs) established between the Burundi and Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) border at Ruhwa, Gatumba, Rubenga et Vugizo.

The site adjacent to Pibor UNMISS is estimated to host approximately 1,553 IDPs as of 29 March 2020. This figure is an estimate based on a calculation multiplying the average household size with the number of shelter in the previous reporting period from which the net outflow was subtracted.

Au cours de l’année 2019, 215 710 mouvements de migrants ont été observés en République de Djibouti.

IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) conducted a field assessment in Kuajiena Payam on 25 February and 18 March 2020 to obtain more information about ongoing clashes between pastoralists and farmers.

On 16 February 2020, clashes among communities in Rumbek North as a result of cattle raiding caused displacement within the county.

The site adjacent to Pibor UNMISS is estimated to host approximately 2,137 IDPs as of 22 March 2020.

Parts of Morobo County received an influx of both IDPs who were previously abroad (South Sudan nationals), and returnees from neighbouring Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

IOM DTM interviewed 1,281 households living at Wau PoC AA and five collective centres, namely Cathedral, Lokoloko, Masna, Nazareth and St Joseph. Interviews were conducted between 7 and 23 January 2020.
