In view of the political and conflict situation in neighboring countries of South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), there has been an increasing number of people moving into Uganda. In response to the need for timely and accurate information on the movements and needs of the displaced population, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Uganda began implementing the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in March 2018. The DTM activities conducted in Uganda include Flow Monitoring Registry (FMR) and Flow Monitoring Surveys (FMS), which aim at providing disaggregated data on the movements volume and trends as well as qualitative information on individuals’ educational and vocational backgrounds of travelers, their intended destinations, the routes taken, and the challenges faced along the way. IOM Uganda is currently monitoring population flows at twenty-one points of entry (POE), fifteen on the Ugandan border with DRC and six along the border with South Sudan. The data collected is shared with relevant governmental stakeholders and other humanitarian partners to develop adequate interventions and provide the necessary assistance.

Over the reporting period, a total of 23,976 movements were observed at six (6) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan border with South Sudan. This month saw a majority of outgoing flows (58%) against incoming flows (42%).
Over the reporting period, a total of 186,599 movements were observed at eight (8) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Similar to October, this month saw a majority of incoming flows (57%) against outgoing flows (43%).
Over this reporting period, a total of 32,137 individual movements were observed at six (6) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan (UGA) border with South Sudan (SSD). This month saw a majority of outgoing flows (53%) against incoming flows (47%).
Over this reporting period, a total of 202,356 movements were observed at eight (8) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Points of Entry (PoE) preparedness dashboards for Ntoroko District was covered from 1 October to 31 October 2019. Kasese has twenty-one (21) PoEs with active screening operations in place.

The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Points of Entry (PoE) preparedness dashboards for Kanungu District was covered from 1 october to 31 October 2019. Eight (8) of the referenced Points of Entry (PoEs) had active screening activities during the reporting period.
The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Points of Entry (PoE) preparedness dashboards for Kisoro District was covered from 1 October to 31 October 2019. Kisoro has seven (7) Points of Entry (PoEs) with active screening operations in the reported period.
The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Points of Entry (PoE) preparedness dashboards for Rubirizi District was covered from 1 October to 31 October 2019. All four (4) landing sites referenced are informal PoEs and have active screening operations in place during reporting period.
Over the reporting period, a total of 25,262 movements were observed at six (6) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan border with South Sudan.

The Uganda Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Points of Entry (PoE) Preparedness dashboard is updated twice a month, using data collected daily by the EVD screeners at Points of Entry.
Over the reporting period, a total of 29,118 individual movements were observed at six (6) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan (UGA) border with South Sudan (SSD). Over 41% of all movement was tracked through Oraba FMP (11,969), with almost equal division between outgoing (49%)
