Libya — Rapid Assessment: Displacement from Tamnhnt, Albawanees (2 May 2017)

Clashes around Tamnhnt airport base began in early April 2017 and have been ongoing until the time of publication. DTM conducted a rapid assessment in the affected areas to determine the impact of the clashes on populations residing in the area. According to preliminary results, a total of 350 individuals (approximately 70 households) left their homes in the airbase where they had been stationed. They went to other baladiyas in the South including Brak, Sebha, Algurdha Ashshati, Alsharguiya, and Algatroun. Approximately 15 individuals (3 households) remained in Albawanees baladiya.
