IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix has been monitoring displacement movements related to this crisis since October 15, when Iraqi Security Forces began moving into disputed areas previously held by Kurdish forces. As of 4 December 2017, a total of 176,680 individuals are currently displaced from the disputed areas. To date, there are 180,678 returnees from this crisis.
