Somalia — COVID-19 Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Assessment in IDP Sites - Round 1

The report presents the findings of an assessment on COVID-19 risk perception and preferred communication channels conducted by Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster (CCCM) partners and IOM's Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in internally displaced persons (IDPs) sites across Somalia. The report seeks to enhance risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) effectiveness by providing evidence-based recommendations. Three thematic areas are covered in this report: community's knowledge of COVID-19, preferred and most utilized channels for receiving critical COVID-19 messages, and attitudes and practices related to COVID-19. The assessment used a mixed methods approach. Interviews were carried out between April 21^st and May 4^th, 2020.
