On 15 December 2019 at 02:11 PM, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake jolted the municipality of Matanao, Davao del Sur just 30 kilometers away from Tulunan, North Cotabato which suffered three major earthquakes in late October. According to the latest DSWD-DROMIC report (Report# 7), 81,629 families or 373,999 persons are affected and 21,495 houses are damaged (4,546 totally destroyed and 26,041 partially damaged). 29,473 families or 130,902 persons are displaced. 57 government-listed IDP sites host 7,873 families or 36,701 persons and 21,600 families or 94,201 persons are otherwise displaced.
DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
