This weekly situation report covers the reporting period between 7 and 13 October 2018. 301 Undocumented Afghan individuals returned to Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing while 232 individuals used the Chaman/Spin Boldak border crossing, bringing the total number of returns in the reporting period to 533 (132 families). There is an approximate 23% decrease in the total number of returns compared to last week. The total number of Undocumented Afghans that returned spontaneously to Afghanistan since 1st January 2018 through Torkham and Chaman now stands at 25,471 (excluding deportations). In comparison, during the same reporting period last year (January 1 – October 13, 2017) a total of 76,044 Undocumented Afghans returned spontaneously to Afghanistan (excluding deportations).
