On 23 March 2023, a total of 52 Chadian nationals (3 among them are minors) were collectively expelled from Libya and arrived in the town of Ounianga-Kébir on 28 March 2023. One day later, these expelled individuals left in two waves from Ounianga-Kébir to the town of Faya. It should be noted that most of the expelled persons are from Abéché and Oumhadjer. Additionally, these individuals reported they spent 2 to 4 years in prison in Benghazi (Libya) before being expelled. Indeed, the 52 expelled individuals have not received any assistance, but have been registered by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
