DTM El Salvador collected data on the type of shelter and housing available to the families of unaccompanied minor returnees. The majority of the families of unaccompanied minor returnees lived in rural areas and were home owners. Several vulnerability indicators were identified from the data collected. These were: not being the owner of the property, having a dirt floor and not having access to potable water. In addition, further contributors to the vulnerability of unaccompanied minor returnees included residing with households headed by a single parent or other relative.
