З березня 2022 року, після повномасштабного вторгнення збройних сил Російської Федерації в Україну, Міжнародна організація з міграції (МОМ) збирає дані про внутрішньо переміщених осіб (ВПО), осіб, що повернулися, та непереміщене населення шляхом проведення загальнонаціональних опитувань.

Since March 2022, following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has been collecting data on internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and the nondisplaced population through a nationwide survey.

According to the latest available gures from the Turkish Presidency of Migration Management (PMM), there are more than 4.7 million foreign nationals present in Türkiye, 3.6 million of whom are seeking international protection.

Some 35,200 children arrived in Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Cyprus and Malta in 2022 (18% girls and 82% boys) – 46% higher than total number of arrivals in 2021 (24,147). Some 23,500 children who arrived in Europe in 2022 were unaccompanied or separated (67% of total).

Since 24 February 2022, refugees from Ukraine and Third Country Nationals (TCNs) have been fleeing to neighbouring countries as a result of the war. As of May 2023, more than eight million refugees from Ukraine were recorded across Europe.
