IOM Yemen DTM’s Rapid Displacement Tracking (RDT) tool collects data on estimated numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis from their locations of origin or displacement, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements in terms of estimated numbers, geography, and needs. It also tracks returnees who returned to their location of origin.

From 1 January to 2 July 2022, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 7,000 households (HH) (42,000 Individuals) who experienced displacement at least once.

Between 26 June and 2 July 2022, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 85 households (510 individuals) displaced at least once. The majority of people moved into/within the following governorates and districts:

  • Marib (30 HHs) – Marib City (29 HHs), Marib (1 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Al Hodeidah and Dhamar.
  • Shabwah (23 HHs) – Ataq (13 HHs), Bayhan (10 HHs) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Ibb and Marib.
  • Ad Dali (16 HHs) – Qatabah (7 HHs), Ad Dali (6 HHs), Al Hasayn (3 HHs) districts.    Most displacements in the governorate originated from Ad Dali and Hajjah.

The majority of people moved from the following governorates and districts:   

  • Taiz (17 HHs) – Jabal Habashi (6 HHs), Maqbanah (4 HHs), Sharab Ar Rawnah (2 HHs) districts.
  • Al Hodeidah (16 HHs) – Al Hali (5 HHs), Hays (3 HHs), Bajil (2 HHs) districts.
  • Dhamar (11 HHs) – Maghrib Ans (4 HHs), Otmah (4 HHs), Wusab As Safil (3 HHs) districts.
