This weekly situation report covers the reporting period between 30 September and 6 October 2018. 370 undocumented Afghan individuals returned to Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing whilst 323 individuals used the Chaman/Spin Boldak border crossing, bringing the total number of returns in the reporting period to 693 (161 families). There is an approximate 13% increase in the total number of returns compared to the previous week. The total number of undocumented Afghans that returned spontaneously to Afghanistan since 1st January 2018 through Torkham and Chaman now stands at 24,938 (excluding deportations). In comparison, during the same reporting period last year (January 1 – September 22, 2017) a total of 74,880 Undocumented Afghans returned spontaneously to Afghanistan (excluding deportations).​
