In October, a total of 201 alerts were recorded, with 191 alerts (95 per cent) categorized as event-related and 10 alerts (5 per cent) as movement-related. In Adamawa State, all alerts from the LGAs of Demsa, Girei, Guyuk, Lamurde, Numan and Shelleng were event-related. However, in Mayo-Belwa LGA, 75 per cent of alerts were event-related, while 25 per cent pertained to movements. In Taraba State, the Zing and Lau LGAs reported 97 per cent and 68 per cent event-related alerts, respectively, with 3 per cent and 32 per cent linked to movements. Disaggregated ward-level data shows that Talum Ward in Shelleng LGA recorded the highest event alert proportion at 9 per cent, followed by Zing Ward in Zing LGA with 7 per cent. Libbo in Shelleng LGA and Dong in Demsa LGA each accounted for 6 per cent, while Waduku in Lamurde LGA and Dwam in Demsa LGA contributed 5 per cent and 4 per cent, respectively.
Of the reported alerts, 13 per cent resulted in casualties or injuries, 3 per cent led to population displacement while the status of 2 per cent of the alerts remains unconfirmed.
