This document presents an analysis of interviews conducted with all individuals assisted in their voluntary return by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) between 2017 and 2022 (163,259) to one of the 23 countries covered by the West and Central Africa region (WCA).

Depuis 2015, le Tchad fait l’objet d’attaques perpétrées par des groupes armés non-étatiques présents dans le bassin du Lac Tchad engendrant des déplacements massifs de populations, aussi bien internes que transfrontaliers.
Depuis presque quelques années, de plus en plus de personnes empruntent la Route Atlantique Ouest Africaine (WAAR). Cette route migratoire, qui avait été particulièrement active en 2006, est redevenue une route fréquemment empruntée par les migrants.
In the past 48 hours, an estimated arrivals of at least 15,000 have crossed into Chad from El Geneina in West Darfur, Sudan, to seek refuge in the locality of Adre, in the Eastern Chadian province of Ouaddai due the significant deterioration of the security situation and steep uptake in violence.
The DTM Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is deployed to track and collect information on large and sudden population movements, provide frequent updates on the scale of displacement and quantify the affected population when needed.

On 08 June, armed bandits attacked the communities of Samabawa and Gamawa in Zarummai ward of Bukkuyum LGA in Zamafara State. The attacks affected 440 individuals, displacing 436 individuals to the community of Bukkuyum Town in Bukkuyum ward.
