In Q3 of 2021, a total of 49,092 of migrants and refugees were registered arriving through the three Mediterranean routes and the Western African Atlantic route to Europe, which is 55 per cent higher than the 31,563 arrivals registered in the same period in 2020, and 8 per cent more than the 45,3

As of 28 February 2021, data was collected on 816 PoEs in 30 countries/territories/areas across the EEA region. These locations include: 482 land border crossings points, 195 airports, and 139 blue border crossing points (including sea, river and lake ports).

Overall, the number of women and girls registered at arrivals by sea and by land in Europe between 2018 and 2020 is about 76,615 or 20 per cent of total arrivals.

As of 28 February 2021, data was collected on 853 PoEs in 19 countries/territories/areas across the SEEECA region. These locations include: 535 land border crossings points, 199 airports, and 119 blue border crossing points (including sea, river and lake ports).
