Since 24 February 2022, an increasing number of refugees and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs) entering Slovakia has been registered due to the war in Ukraine. As of 31 December 2022, Slovak authorities have reported 1,090,124 arrivals from Ukraine out of whom 1,004,197 were Ukrainian refugees, 17,437 TCNs, and the remaining 68,490 persons were EU Nationals.
According to the Border Police, 875,589 people have crossed the border from Slovakia to Ukraine between 24 February and 31 December 2022, out of whom 91 per cent were Ukrainian Nationals, eight per cent were EU Nationals and less than one per cent other TCNs.
This factsheet is based on a Displacement patterns, needs and intentions survey launched by IOM in March 2022. Surveys were conducted face-to-face by trained enumerators with Ukrainian refugees and TCNs fleeing Ukraine after 24 February 2022. The 2022 FACTSHEET presents an analysis based on 1,903 surveys with Ukrainian refugees and TCNs collected between 9 March and 30 November 2022.

This factsheet is based on a Crossings Back to Ukraine survey addressing people crossing to Ukraine from Slovakia launched by IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) since 19 April 2022. The interviews were conducted face-to-face by trained enumerators.
The 2022 FACTSHEET presents an annual analysis based on 675 surveys collected until 15 December 2022.
Certains quartiers de la commune de Pétion-Ville sont en proie à des attaques armées perpétréés de manière sporadique depuis le début de cette année. Cependant, une recrudescence de ces attaques a été observée depuis le 19 mars dans les quartiers de Meyotte, Kay Colette et Frères . En plus des pertes en vies humaines, des incendies et pillages des maisons, ces attaques ont provoqué un déplacement d'environ 748 ménages comprenant 2 449 individus que se sont dirigés vers plusieurs quartiers dans le communes de Pétion-Ville, Port-au-Prince et Delmas dans de département de l'Ouest ainsi que vers d'autres départements - notamment le Centre, le Sud-Est, et la Grand 'Anse. Ces personnes sont répartis dans 18 communautés hôtes.

Les quartiers de Delmas 24 et Delmas 2 situés dans la commune de Delmas ainsi que ceux de Solino et Bel Air dans la commune de Port-au-Prince ont subi des attaques répétées de personnes armées depuis le 2 mars 2023. En plus des pertes en vies humaines, des incendies et pillages des maisons, cet événement a provoqué un déplacement d’environ 1 776 ménages comprenant 8 590 individus qui se sont dirigés vers plusieurs quartiers de la zone métropolitaine de Port- au-Prince, notamment dans les quartiers de Fort National, Poste Marchand et Christ Roi (dans la commune de Port-au-Prince). Ces personnes sont répartis dans 11 sites et 43 communautés hôtes.

On 11 March, a non-state armed group (NSAG) reportedly attacked the community of Jabo in Bultuwa ward of Yunusari LGA in Yobe state. The attack affected 242 individuals and displaced 146 individuals to the community of Anguwar Arewa and 96 individuals to the community of Kwata, both located in Asheikiri ward of Geidam LGA.

On 14 and 15 March, clashes between herders and farmers were reported in the communities of Gbeji in Ityuluv ward of Ukum LGA and Tule in Fiidi ward of Makurdi LGA, both in Benue state. The clashes affected 787 individuals and displaced 702 individuals from the community Gbeji to the community Zaki Biam in Uyam ward of Ukum LGA. The affected individuals in Tule remained in their community. As a result of the clashes, 9 fatalities and 46 injuries were reported.
Also on 15 March, a communal clash between the Akpegede and Oju communities was reported in the community Akpegede in Otobi ward of Oturkpo in Benue state. The unrest was caused by a community protest over the lack of power supplies which led to vandalization and violence. The clash affected 236 individuals and displaced 234 individuals to the community Oturkpo Town in Oturkpo ward. As a result of the clash, 2 fatalities and 9 injuries were reported.

On 11 March, armed bandits reportedly attacked the community of Majifa in Pauwa A & B ward of Kankara LGA in Katsina state. The attack affected 72 individuals and displaced 51 individuals to the community Kankara Town in Kankara ward of Kankara LGA. As a result of the attack, 21 fatalities and 11 injuries were reported.
