From July to September 2020, IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) conducted a total of 12,316 registrations in Sudan – 95 per cent of which were internally displaced persons (IDPs) and five per cent returnees from internal displacement.
From April to June 2020, IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) conducted 6,549 registrations across three states in Sudan – 3,186 (49%) of which were internally displaced persons (IDPs) and 3,363 (51%) returnees.
In 2019, DTM registered 186,813 individuals across the five states of Darfur and South Kordofan – 155,117 (83%) of which were returnees and 31,696 (17%) internally displaced persons (IDPs).
From October to December 2019, DTM registered 60,798 individuals across four states in Sudan – 43,585 (72%) of which were returnees and 17,213 (28%) internally displaced persons (IDPs).
From April to June 2019, DTM conducted 14,926 registrations across five states in Sudan – 10,581 (71%) registrations of returnees and 4,345 (29%) registrations of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
From July to September, DTM conducted 39,506 registrations across six states in Sudan – 34,507 (87%) of which were returnees and 4,999 (13%) internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The primary goal of the exercise was to register the returnee population and assess their needs. A total of 1,991 households composed of 11,130 individuals were reregistered in twelve different locations out of the 2,173 reported families.
