Wege Arrival Camp (Pulka Transit Camp) in Gwoza Local Government Area (LGA) received 1,437 new arrivals individuals between 8 and 25 December while no departures were recorded from the site during this period.

On 8 December 2017, at around 6:25 PM, there was a fire outbreak at the Governmt Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Camp, Monguno. IOM DTM and CCCM staff on ground report that the fire was a result of a cooking fire that was let exposed.

An assessment was carried out on 17 August 2017 by the DTM team in response to the displacement of persons into Madagali LGA. The assessment team confirmed that 3 villages (Bakin-Dutse, humbili and Wuno) were recently affected by Boko Haram attacks.

On 23 July 2017, IOM Nigeria DTM carried out a mission to Guzamala LGA in Borno State to ascertain accessibility of Guzamala, which has been an inaccessible location since the beginning of the programme.

On July 13 2017, an assessment was carried out to ascertain the situation of the new arrivals at custom house which arrived on 12 July 2017.

The worst hit of all the camps assessed was Boarding School Camp, with 18 destroyed shelters and 134 partially damaged shelters. EL-Miskin Transit Camp, Kawarmela, Farm Center, Madinatu, Muna Da’lti 1A, 2A and 2B, Muna Moforo and Goni Kachallari Camps were flooded as a result of the storm.
