Djibouti — Flow Monitoring Dashboard (April 2024)

In April 2024, 35,512 migratory movements were observed at Djibouti's Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs), including 19,937 incoming individuals from Ethiopia.

Uganda – Info Sheet: Multi-Hazard Response/DRR Platform (April 2024)

April marked the mid of the first rainy season in Uganda and this triggered natural hazards like landslides/Mudslides in the Elgon and Rwenzori mountain ranges, floods, heavy storms and lightning.

Between 1 and 30 April 2024, IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) interviewed 1,106 households representing 7,810 household members to assess the beneficiary satisfaction among service-receiving IDPs during distributions in Bentiu IDP Camp.

Somalia — Emergency Trend Tracking Report — Round 4 (April 2024)

This latest round of Emergency Trends Tracking was initiated in April 2024 to monitor displacements movements during the Gu rainy season. Districts covered in this round include Afgooye, Afmadow, Baardheere, Baidoa, Balcad, Belet Weyne, Gaalkacyo, Garoowe, Jamaame, Jowhar, Kismaayo, and Luuq.

Burundi — Suivi des urgences (16 - 21 Avril 2024)

Le rapport DTM indique qu'entre le 16 et le 21 avril 2024, au Burundi, 19 573 personnes ont été affectées et 4 783 déplacées suite à des pluies torrentielles, des glissements de terrain, et des inondations nécessitant une réponse immédiate de la communauté humanitaire.

Burundi - Rapport d'évaluation des besoins multisectoriels – (Juillet 2023)

En juillet 2023, environ 73 900 personnes (correspondant à environ 17 000 ménages déplacés internes) vivaient en situation de déplacement. Les rapatriés PDI représentaient 10 pour cent de la population déplacée totale.

Migration Along the Eastern Corridor (March 2024)

• Overall exit movements from Ethiopia increased by 18% in the last month, marking the highest number of movements tracked since 2018, and an increase of 1% compared with the previous highest figure reported in December 2023 (18,119).

UGANDA: REFUGEE FLOW MONITORING - Nakivale Refugee Settlement in the Southwest Region of Uganda (19 February - 19 March)

Over the reporting period, a total of 15,885 movements were  observed at five Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) through random interviews with travelers.

• The number of children exiting Ethiopia increased by 13% between January (725) and February (816). Of these children, 70% (574) were travelling alone in February (64% in January), which represents a 23% increase from January (465).
