This summary presents findings of the 18th round of Mobility Tracking Assessments (previously known as Baseline Assessments) conducted across Northern Mozambique through key-informant assessments and group interviews at district and location-level in March 2023.
During the reporting period (19 to 25 April 2023), a total of 52 movements were recorded - 21 arrivals (596 individuals), 27 departures (553 individuals), and 4 returns (32 individuals).
Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management (INGD) estimates 1,187,265 individuals have been affected by the first and second landfall of Tropical Storm Freddy across Inhambane, Gaza, Zambezia, Sofala and Tete, Niassa and Manica provinces.
During the reporting period (12 to 18 April 2023), a total of 57 movements were recorded - 27 arrivals (1,285 individuals), 26 departures (2,106 individuals), and 4 returns (31 individuals).
During the reporting period (05 to 11 April 2023), a total of 43 movements were recorded - 18 arrivals (1,024 individuals), 20 departures (608 individuals), and 5 returns (118 individuals).

During the reporting period (1 to 31 March 2023), a total 32 of movements, were recorded - 15 arrivals (156 individuals), 17 departures (197 individuals). The largest arrival movements were recorded in Cidade de Nampula (100 individuals).
During the reporting period (22 to 28 March 2023), a total of 46 movements were recorded - 22 arrivals (1,672 individuals), 21 departures (613 individuals), and 3 returns (21 individuals).
