Between 5 - 11 August 2024, a total of 1,536 new arrivals were recorded at locations in Benue State. The new arrivals were recorded at locations in Guma, Gwer-west, Kwande and Ukum local government areas (LGAs) of Benue State.
The purpose of the emergency tracking tool is to collect information on sudden and significant displacements mainly triggered by security and natural disasters. The information is collected through key informant interviews and direct observations.
In June, 289 alerts were recorded. Of these, 241 alerts (83%) were event-related, while 48 alerts (17%) were related to movements.

DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
