Djibouti — Stranded Migrants (19 August 2020)

Following the border closure in Ethiopia and due to the stricter border management policies in Yemen, some of the migrants who were transiting through Djibouti on their way to or from the Arabian Peninsula found themselves stranded in the country.

Somalia — Border Point Flow Monitoring (9 – 15 August 2020)

In Week 33, from 9 to 15 August 2020, a total of 3,195 movements were observed at various flow monitoring points (FMP) across Somalia, of which 66 per cent were incoming flows and 34 per cent were outgoing flows.

Djibouti — Flow Monitoring Dashboard (July 2020)

During the month of July 2020, 3,906 movements were observed at flow monitoring points in Djibouti representing a daily average of 135 movements. This is an increase of 17% in comparison of the 115 daily average movements observed in June.

South Sudan — Event Tracking: Bor South County, Jonglei State (August 2020)

On 8 July 2020, IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix conducted Event Tracking through direct field visits, and observations to collect information on locations of displacement, assistance needed, and households affected by armed attacks suspected to have been waged by armed Murle youth groups.
